Having always enjoyed questioning everything, she studied Psychology at The University of St Andrews, and Behaviour Change at University College London. She coauthored her first nonfiction book, Ripple, which was published in the UK by Harriman House.

April lives in Edinburgh, and mostly in her head. Her debut novel will be published in autumn 2026.
